Choosing EHS

The highest-priority questions customers ask when deciding whether EHS is the right cleaning company for them.

EHS Trusted Cleaning Services is more than a residential cleaning company. Our services include:

  • EHS Essentials Clean – a streamlined ongoing cleaning option focused on the essential cleaning tasks that make the biggest difference in maintaining your home.
  • Regular Cleaning – comprehensive ongoing cleaning available on scheduled frequencies, including weekly and fortnightly services.
  • Foundation Clean – our recommended starting point for many ongoing clients, allowing additional time to establish a strong cleaning foundation before regular maintenance begins.
  • Deep & Spring Cleaning – a more detailed clean when your home or property needs additional attention.
  • End-of-Lease & Vacate Cleaning
  • Move-In Cleaning
  • Pre-Sale Cleaning
  • Commercial Cleaning

But the biggest difference isn’t simply what we clean – it’s how we deliver it.

EHS is a professionally managed cleaning company, backed by trained cleaning teams, structured cleaning systems, dedicated office support, clear customer communication and quality-control processes.

Whether you need ongoing cleaning for your home, support for an NDIS participant, cleaning for a commercial property or a one-off specialised service, our aim remains the same:

To provide a professional cleaning service you can rely on, backed by a company you can trust.

Built on Trust. Proven by Systems. Delivered by People.

Because choosing a cleaning service isn’t just about finding someone who can clean – it’s about finding a company you can trust to consistently look after your home, property or workplace.

At EHS Trusted Cleaning Services, we have spent years developing the people, systems and processes behind the clean so our customers receive more than just someone turning up with a mop and vacuum.

When you choose EHS, you’re choosing:

  • A professionally managed cleaning service – with an office team supporting our cleaners and customers.
  • Trained cleaning teams – working with structured cleaning methods, checklists and our EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™.
  • Reliable communication – something we take enormous pride in. From scheduling and arrival information to changes, questions or concerns, you have a company you can communicate with.
  • Greater service continuity – your cleaning service isn’t dependent on one individual. If a team member is unavailable, we have the people and systems to help keep your service moving.
  • Quality and accountability – if something isn’t right, you have a company standing behind the service and a process for addressing it.
  • Professional equipment and cleaning products – our teams arrive prepared to perform the service.
  • Experience you can rely on – EHS has spent approximately 15 years learning, developing and improving how professional cleaning services should be delivered.

We know we’re not necessarily going to be the cheapest cleaning option, and we’re not trying to be. Our focus is on providing greater trust, reliability, communication, consistency and peace of mind for customers who value having their cleaning professionally managed.

Because ultimately, you’re not just trusting someone to clean. You’re trusting them with your home, your property, your time and your peace of mind.

That’s why we believe the systems and people behind the clean matter just as much as the clean itself.

Built on Trust. Proven by Systems. Delivered by People.

The difference is what happens behind the clean.

Many cleaning services can provide someone to vacuum, mop, dust and clean your bathrooms. At EHS Trusted Cleaning Services, we believe a truly professional cleaning service requires much more than that.

Over the years, we’ve developed The EHS Trusted System™ – the people, processes, communication and operational systems that work together to provide a more reliable and professionally managed cleaning experience.

That includes:

  • Structured cleaning systems – including The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™ and defined cleaning processes.
  • Team-based cleaning – our standard services are generally delivered by teams of two, allowing our people to work together efficiently and systematically.
  • A dedicated office team behind the service – helping coordinate schedules, customer communication, team support and day-to-day operations.
  • Prepared teams and equipment – our teams are equipped and organised before heading out to customers.
  • Clear communication – we take enormous pride in this. Customers have a company they can contact, not simply an individual cleaner.
  • Service continuity – if somebody is sick, on leave or unavailable, the entire service doesn’t necessarily stop with them.
  • Quality and accountability – when something doesn’t go to plan, there is a business behind the service to listen, respond and work towards putting things right.
  • Ongoing training and development – because professional cleaning isn’t just about knowing how to clean; it’s also about customer care, teamwork, reliability and respecting the properties we’re trusted to enter.

We’re not suggesting that we’re perfect. Cleaning is delivered by people, and occasionally things can go wrong. What matters is having the systems, communication and accountability behind those people when they do.

That’s the EHS difference.

You’re not simply hiring a cleaner. You’re engaging a professionally managed cleaning service.

Built on Trust. Proven by Systems. Delivered by People.

Both can be good options – the important thing is understanding what you’re choosing.

An independent cleaner is typically one person running their own business and personally providing the cleaning service. For many customers, particularly those primarily looking for a lower-cost or very simple arrangement, this can work well.

EHS Trusted Cleaning Services provides something different.

You’re not relying solely on one individual – you’re engaging a professionally managed cleaning company with a team, systems and support structure behind your service.

With EHS, that means:

  • A team behind your clean – from the cleaning professionals in your property to the office team coordinating and supporting the service.
  • Greater service continuity – if one person becomes sick, takes leave or becomes unavailable, your entire cleaning arrangement isn’t necessarily dependent on that individual.
  • Structured cleaning systems – our teams work with established processes, checklists and The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™.
  • Professional equipment and products – our teams arrive prepared with the equipment and cleaning products required for the service.
  • Reliable communication – you have an office and a company to contact about scheduling, changes, questions or concerns.
  • Quality and accountability – there is a business standing behind the work and a process for responding when something doesn’t meet expectations.
  • Ongoing team support and development – our cleaners aren’t simply sent out and left entirely on their own; they operate as part of a wider EHS team and system.

An independent cleaner may sometimes have lower overheads and therefore charge a lower rate. EHS has the additional costs involved in employing and supporting teams, maintaining equipment and vehicles, administration, training, insurance, customer service and operating the systems required to manage a professional cleaning company.

So when comparing cleaning services, hourly rate alone doesn’t always tell the whole story.

The real question is: What level of service, support, reliability and accountability do you want behind your clean?

For customers who simply want an individual cleaner, an independent cleaner may be the right choice.

For customers who value professional management, communication, systems, service continuity and a company standing behind the service, that’s where EHS is different.

You’re not just paying for the clean. You’re paying for everything that helps make the clean reliable.

Every property is different, which is why we prefer to understand what you actually need before recommending a cleaning service and providing pricing.

The cost of your EHS cleaning service can depend on several factors, including the size and condition of the property, the type of cleaning required, the frequency of service and the amount of work involved.

A home needing regular ongoing maintenance may require something very different from a property needing a Foundation Clean, Deep/Spring Clean, vacate clean or one of our more specialised services.

That’s also why we offer different service options, including the EHS Essentials Clean, for customers who may want a more streamlined level of ongoing cleaning.

Rather than guessing from a generic price list, we encourage you to speak with our team about your property and what you’re hoping to achieve.

We’ll ask a few questions, help identify the most appropriate EHS cleaning service and discuss the expected cleaning time and cost with you before you make a decision.

Are we the cheapest cleaning service?

Probably not – and being the cheapest isn’t what EHS is built around.

Our pricing reflects more than the cleaning taking place inside your property. Behind our cleaning teams is a professionally managed business providing customer communication, scheduling, team support, training, equipment, products, insurance, quality processes and service accountability.

We believe customers should understand what they’re receiving for their money, rather than choosing a cleaning service based solely on the lowest price. If trust, reliability, communication and having a professional company standing behind your cleaning service are important to you, we’d love the opportunity to discuss what you need.

Contact EHS Trusted Cleaning Services and we’ll help you find the right cleaning option for your property and budget.

Our regular cleaning service is designed to take care of the ongoing cleaning your home needs to stay consistently clean, fresh and well maintained.

Rather than approaching each visit randomly, our teams follow structured EHS cleaning processes and defined cleaning tasks so there is a clear system behind how your home is cleaned.

A regular EHS clean generally focuses on the key areas of your home, including:

  • Bathrooms and toilets – cleaning and sanitising key surfaces, showers, baths, basins, mirrors and toilets.
  • Kitchen – cleaning benches, splashbacks, sinks, cooktop surfaces and accessible exterior surfaces.
  • Living areas and bedrooms – dusting and wiping appropriate surfaces and general presentation cleaning.
  • Floors – vacuuming and mopping applicable floor areas.
  • General cleaning – removing cobwebs and attending to the regular cleaning tasks included within your service.

Our teams use The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™, helping separate cleaning equipment used across different areas of the property and providing a structured method for completing the clean.

But regular cleaning is about more than a checklist. Every home is different.

The size of your property, its condition, the number of people living there, pets, lifestyle and how frequently we clean can all affect what can realistically be achieved within the allocated service time.

That’s why we work with customers to establish an appropriate service and cleaning time rather than promising that an unlimited list of tasks can always be completed within a fixed period. If your property needs significantly more attention before regular maintenance begins, we may recommend starting with an EHS Foundation Clean. If you’re looking for a more streamlined ongoing service focused primarily on essential cleaning tasks, our EHS Essentials Clean may be another option.

Our goal with regular cleaning is simple: To create a reliable cleaning routine that helps keep your home consistently maintained – delivered by a professional team with the EHS systems and support behind them.

The EHS Essentials Clean is our streamlined ongoing cleaning service, designed for customers who want professional help maintaining the essential areas of their home without requiring the full scope of our regular cleaning service. It focuses our cleaning time on the core tasks that make the biggest day-to-day difference, particularly key areas such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchen surfaces and floors.

The difference is in the scope of the service – not the professional standards behind it. An Essentials Clean is still delivered by EHS and backed by the same professional infrastructure that supports our other cleaning services, including:

  • Our two-person team approach
  • The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™
  • Professional cleaning products and equipment
  • Structured cleaning processes
  • Office and scheduling support
  • Clear customer communication
  • The accountability of an established cleaning company

Who is the EHS Essentials Clean designed for?

It can be a great option for customers who:

  • Want professional cleaning focused on the most important maintenance areas
  • Don’t require every task included in our more comprehensive regular cleaning service
  • Want to keep their cleaning service within a more manageable budget
  • Already maintain some areas themselves but want professional help with the core cleaning
  • Want the systems, reliability and support of EHS without requiring our fuller cleaning service

Because the Essentials Clean has a more defined scope, there are tasks included in our regular cleaning service that may not be included in an Essentials Clean. Our team can explain exactly what’s included and help you decide whether EHS Essentials Clean or our Regular Cleaning Service is the better fit for your property.

It’s a simpler clean – without giving up the systems and professional support behind EHS.

A Foundation Clean is designed to establish the right starting point for your ongoing EHS cleaning service.

When we first enter a property, we’re often taking over from a completely different cleaning routine – or sometimes there hasn’t been regular professional cleaning for some time.

Even a well-maintained home can have areas that require additional attention before they can be efficiently maintained through regular cleaning. That’s why, for many new ongoing clients, we may recommend allowing additional cleaning time for the first service. We call this the EHS Foundation Clean.

What is the purpose of a Foundation Clean?

The goal isn’t to promise that absolutely everything in your home will be deep cleaned from top to bottom.

Instead, we use the additional time to establish a strong cleaning foundation, concentrating on priority areas such as bathrooms and toilets, kitchen areas, floors, built-up cleaning requirements and key areas that need additional attention before ongoing maintenance begins.

Once that foundation has been established, subsequent regular services can focus more effectively on maintaining the home rather than continually trying to catch up.

Why can’t we just start with a normal regular clean?

We certainly can in some properties. However, if the home requires more work than can realistically be completed within the normal ongoing service time, starting with too little time can set both the customer and our cleaning team up for disappointment.

We would rather be realistic and transparent from the beginning. There’s a simple principle behind the Foundation Clean: Good things take time. Giving our team appropriate time at the beginning helps us establish the standard we want to maintain moving forward. After all, you can’t properly maintain a cleaning foundation that hasn’t yet been established.

We want you to tell us. Cleaning is a people-based service, and while we work hard to deliver a consistently high standard, occasionally something may be missed or may not meet your expectations. What matters is how we respond when that happens.

At EHS Trusted Cleaning Services, we stand behind our work with our Touch-Up Guarantee. If you believe something included within your agreed cleaning service hasn’t been completed to the expected standard, contact our office within 24 hours of your clean and let us know.

We will:

  • Listen to your concerns and understand what has happened
  • Review the service and any relevant information with our team
  • Where appropriate, arrange for an EHS team to return and rectify the areas of concern at no additional charge
  • Use the feedback to help us continually improve our people, training and cleaning processes

Why do we ask you to contact us quickly?

If something has been missed, we want the opportunity to see it and put it right. The longer the time between the clean and notification, the more difficult it can become to determine what occurred during the service. That’s why communication is so important to us. We don’t believe trust comes from pretending mistakes never happen. Trust comes from being accountable and responding when they do. If something isn’t right, please contact us.

Give us the opportunity to make it right.

Trust, Safety and Peace of Mind

How EHS approaches screening, prevention, property access, continuity and accountability.

Yes – but at EHS, we believe screening is only the beginning of trust, not the end of it.

Depending on the role and services being performed, EHS team members undergo relevant onboarding and screening requirements, which may include identity verification, Police Checks, Working with Children Checks, NDIS requirements and other relevant documentation.

These checks are important. But we also believe customers should understand something that is often overlooked when choosing a cleaning service:

A document can help screen a person’s history. It cannot manage their future behaviour.

Someone can have every required check and document come back perfectly clear. That doesn’t necessarily tell you how they’ll perform six months from now, how they’ll behave inside your home, whether they’ll follow procedures, how they’ll respond when something goes wrong, or whether their attitude and performance will change over time.

That’s why EHS doesn’t rely on screening alone to create trust. We build systems around our people. Our team members operate within a professionally managed environment designed to provide an additional layer of oversight and accountability.

This includes structured onboarding and training, defined cleaning systems and procedures, work orders, checklists and documented customer instructions, team-based cleaning, office support and communication, operational monitoring and management, documented incident and feedback processes, ongoing coaching and performance management, clear behavioural expectations and processes for investigating concerns.

This doesn’t mean we claim that people can never make mistakes or that systems can guarantee someone’s behaviour. They can’t. What they can do is provide significantly more structure around the people delivering your service.

We don’t believe trust should be based solely on a certificate, background check or someone’s word. We believe trust is strengthened through screening, training, systems, monitoring, communication, documentation and accountability working together.

A piece of paper doesn’t manage people. Good systems help you manage people. At EHS, screening is where trust starts. Our systems are how we work to maintain it.

Yes. EHS Trusted Cleaning Services maintains appropriate business insurance as part of operating a professionally managed cleaning company. When you’re allowing a cleaning team into your home, workplace or property, insurance is an important protection – but just like background checks, we don’t believe insurance should be the only thing giving a customer confidence.

Insurance is there for when something goes seriously wrong. Our first priority is having systems designed to reduce the likelihood of things going wrong in the first place.

That’s why EHS supports its cleaning teams with structured cleaning procedures, training, appropriate equipment and products, documented customer instructions, communication, operational management and processes for reporting incidents or damage.

What if something does happen?

Cleaning is a hands-on service performed around people’s furniture, belongings, fixtures and property. Despite everyone’s best efforts, accidents can occasionally happen. If an EHS team member damages something or an incident occurs, we expect it to be reported.

From there, our office can document what happened, communicate with the customer, investigate the circumstances and determine the appropriate next steps. Where required, our insurance provides an additional level of protection behind the business. Insurance is important. Accountability is even more important.

We believe there’s a big difference between simply asking ‘Is my cleaner insured?’ and asking ‘If something happens, is there a professional company behind the cleaner with the systems, documentation and accountability to actually deal with it?’

With EHS, you’re not simply relying on an individual standing in your property. There’s a company standing behind the service.

Built on Trust. Proven by Systems. Delivered by People.

At EHS, we believe prevention is better than the cure.

Cleaning is a hands-on service. Our teams work around furniture, fittings, appliances, valuables and personal belongings every day, so there will always be an element of risk when working inside someone’s property. That’s why our approach starts before an accident happens.

Our teams work with a prevention-first approach.

Over many years of cleaning homes and properties, EHS has learned that professional cleaning isn’t just about knowing how to clean something – it’s also about knowing what you should and shouldn’t touch, move, use or attempt to clean. Our teams are given guidance around what they can safely handle and when they should stop, assess the situation and seek advice rather than taking an unnecessary risk.

This can include identifying delicate or fragile items, unstable furniture or fittings, valuable or sentimental belongings, damaged or deteriorating surfaces, items that shouldn’t be moved, surfaces requiring specialised products or methods, situations outside the normal scope of the cleaning service and anything our team believes could create an unnecessary risk.

Sometimes the most professional decision a cleaner can make is deciding not to touch something. Experience has helped us build better prevention systems.

Years of working inside customers’ homes have taught us a great deal about what can go wrong and, more importantly, how many of those situations can be prevented. We don’t want our insurance policy to be our damage-prevention strategy. Insurance is the backup. Prevention is the first line of defence.

But accidents can still happen.

If something is accidentally damaged during an EHS service, we expect it to be reported, documented and communicated so our management team can investigate what happened and determine the appropriate next steps.

For us, protecting a customer’s property comes down to three things: Prevent what we can. Report what happens. Take responsibility where appropriate. Because when someone gives us access to their home or property, they’re trusting us with far more than the cleaning. They’re trusting us to treat what belongs to them with care.

We treat every property we enter with the understanding that we are working in someone else’s personal space – and that comes with responsibility.

At EHS Trusted Cleaning Services, protecting your home isn’t simply about telling our cleaners to ‘be careful.’ We believe prevention needs to be built into the way our teams work. Our approach has been developed through years of experience cleaning inside customers’ homes and learning where risks can occur.

Prevention is better than the cure. Our teams are trained to assess before they act. That means understanding not only how to clean, but also recognising when something may be fragile, unstable, valuable, damaged, unfamiliar or unsuitable for normal cleaning methods.

Our prevention approach includes following established EHS cleaning procedures, using appropriate products and equipment, understanding what our teams can and cannot safely handle, taking additional care around fragile or sentimental items, recognising deteriorating surfaces and fittings, avoiding unnecessary movement of items, following documented instructions, stopping and seeking advice when something doesn’t look right, and reporting existing damage or incidents when identified.

Experience has taught us when not to clean something. Sometimes the safest and most professional decision is to leave something alone, document it and ask the customer or our office for guidance.

But protection also comes from accountability.
Just as we don’t believe a Police Check alone creates trust, we don’t believe telling someone to ‘be careful’ is enough to protect a customer’s property. Our teams operate within a professionally managed environment with work instructions, documentation, communication, team support, management and incident-reporting processes behind them.

No cleaning company can remove every possible risk from a hands-on service. What we can do is work hard to identify risks, prevent unnecessary accidents, manage our people and respond appropriately when something happens.

Prevention first. Care while we’re there. Accountability behind the service.

We understand that allowing someone into your home when you’re not there requires an enormous amount of trust. We don’t believe that trust should be taken for granted. Many of our customers aren’t home while their cleaning service is being completed. That’s why EHS has built its approach around more than simply trusting an individual cleaner.

We put systems around our people. As we mentioned earlier, background checks and screening are important – but a piece of paper can only tell you so much about a person.

Real trust is strengthened through how people are trained, managed, supported, monitored and held accountable while they’re working.

What sits behind an EHS cleaning team?

When our teams are working in customers’ homes, they’re not simply operating as individuals without support or oversight. The EHS service is backed by team-based cleaning, documented work orders and customer instructions, structured EHS cleaning procedures and checklists, operational monitoring and management, GPS-tracked EHS vehicles, office communication and support, processes for documenting property conditions and concerns, incident reporting and accountability, end-of-day operational processes and ongoing management and coaching.

Trust isn’t something we believe you establish once.

A person can pass every background check today. That doesn’t automatically tell you how they’ll behave tomorrow, six months from now or when circumstances change.

That’s why we believe ongoing management and accountability matter.

Can any cleaning company guarantee what a person will do? No – and we don’t believe it would be responsible to make that promise. What we can do is carefully select our team members, establish clear expectations and then put management, monitoring, documentation, communication and accountability around the people we trust to represent EHS inside your home.

Screening is important. But screening is where trust starts. Our systems are how we work to maintain it. And when you’re not home, we believe that extra layer of accountability matters even more.

No. You don’t need to be home while EHS cleans your property.

Many of our regular customers are at work, out with family or simply getting on with their day while our teams complete their cleaning service. In fact, one of the benefits of using a professionally managed cleaning service is being able to get your time back while we take care of the cleaning.

How does EHS access my property if I’m not home?

We can discuss an appropriate access arrangement with you before your service. Depending on your property and circumstances, this may include an agreed key arrangement, key safe, access code or another approved method of entry.

Any important access information or property instructions can then be documented within your customer records and work instructions so our team knows what is expected when attending your property.

What happens while I’m away?

Our cleaning teams don’t simply receive an address and get left to work everything else out themselves.

They operate with scheduled work orders, documented customer instructions, office support, structured cleaning procedures, team-based cleaning and operational oversight behind them. If our team encounters something unusual, cannot gain access, notices a concern or isn’t sure about an instruction, they have an office and management structure they can contact rather than simply making assumptions.

Of course, you’re also welcome to be home. Some customers prefer to be there and others prefer to leave us to it. Either is completely fine. You shouldn’t have to supervise your cleaning service for it to work. That’s part of what professional cleaning should give you: Less cleaning to do, less to manage, and more time for the things that matter to you.

Yes. Many EHS customers provide an agreed method of property access so their cleaning can be completed while they are at work, away from home or getting on with their day. We understand that providing access to your home is a significant act of trust, so access information needs to be treated responsibly and managed carefully.

Depending on your property and what works best for you, access may be arranged through a key, key safe, access code or another agreed entry method.

How does EHS manage access instructions?

Where required, important access details and property instructions are recorded within our systems so the team attending your property has the information they need to complete the service.

This can include instructions about how and where to access the property, alarm or access procedures where applicable, where a key needs to be returned or secured, gates, garages or other entry requirements, pets or other important property information and what should happen when the team leaves.

Our teams are expected to follow the documented instructions rather than make assumptions about accessing or securing your property.

What if something changes?

If you need to change an access instruction, you’re not dependent on trying to contact an individual cleaner who may already be working. Contact the EHS office and we can help communicate and document the change for the team.

Access is about more than having a key.

For us, the important question isn’t simply ‘Can the cleaner get into my house?’ It’s ‘What systems are behind the people I’ve trusted with access to my house?’ That’s why EHS combines agreed access procedures with documented instructions, team management, communication and accountability.

We want you to be able to get on with your day knowing that you don’t have to be home just to manage your cleaning service.

When a customer gives us access to their property, we recognise that they are placing a significant amount of trust in EHS. We take that responsibility seriously.

Property access isn’t something we believe should be managed casually. Whether access is provided through a physical key, key safe, access code or another agreed method, our aim is to ensure there is a clear process around how that access is managed and communicated. It starts with documentation. Relevant access instructions can be recorded within our customer and work-order systems so the team attending your property knows how they are expected to enter, secure and leave the property.

Rather than relying solely on someone’s memory or an informal conversation, documented instructions help create greater consistency and accountability. Depending on the property, this may include information about keys or key-safe arrangements, entry and exit instructions, alarm or access codes where applicable, gates, garages or other access points, locking and securing the property when leaving, pets or other important property considerations and any specific customer instructions relating to access.

But once again, documentation alone isn’t enough. A procedure is only valuable if the people using it are properly managed and held accountable for following it. Our cleaning teams operate within the wider EHS management structure, with office support, documented work instructions, communication processes and operational oversight behind them.

If something doesn’t look right when our team arrives – a door is unexpectedly open, a key isn’t where expected, an alarm instruction doesn’t work or they’re uncertain about gaining access – we don’t want them guessing. We want them to stop and communicate with the EHS office so the situation can be handled appropriately.

Because giving someone access to your home is about much more than handing over a key. You’re trusting the people, the company and the systems behind them.

For EHS, a customer’s key isn’t simply a way into a property. It represents the trust we’ve been given to enter it.

This is one of the biggest advantages of choosing a professionally managed cleaning company rather than having your entire cleaning service dependent on one person. People get sick. They take holidays. Cars break down. Family emergencies happen. These are normal realities in any people-based business.

At EHS, we’ve built our service knowing that people won’t always be available – but our customers still need their cleaning. Your service isn’t built around just one person.

Where possible, we aim to provide familiarity and continuity with the people attending your property. We understand customers become comfortable with particular team members, and we value those relationships.

However, we don’t believe the reliability of your cleaning service should depend entirely on whether one particular person can come to work. If a team member is unavailable, our office and operations team can assess the day’s schedule and, where possible, reorganise teams or arrange other trained EHS team members to complete the service.

That’s one of the reasons we invest in multiple cleaning teams, structured EHS cleaning systems, documented customer work orders and property instructions, centralised scheduling and customer records, office and operational support and communication between our field and office teams.

How does another team know what my home needs?

Important information about your property, cleaning requirements, access arrangements and special instructions can be recorded within our systems rather than existing solely in the memory of one cleaner.

Does that mean EHS can guarantee there will never be a disruption? No.

There may still be occasions when unexpected staff shortages, illness or other circumstances mean a service needs to be adjusted or rescheduled. What is different is that we have a business behind the problem trying to find a solution.

We’re not promising that the same person will always be available. We’re building a cleaning service that isn’t entirely dependent on them being available.

Where possible, we aim to provide familiar team members, but we don’t guarantee that you will always have exactly the same cleaners. That’s because EHS is designed around something bigger than any one individual:

The person may change. The system doesn’t.

People naturally get sick, take holidays, change their availability and sometimes leave a business. If the quality of your cleaning depends entirely on one particular cleaner knowing what to do, then the system breaks down as soon as that person isn’t available.

At EHS, we’ve worked hard to reduce that dependency. Routine systems and techniques help create predictable outcomes.

Our cleaning teams work through the same EHS cleaning systems, techniques, checklists and expectations. Your property can also have documented work instructions, customer preferences and important information recorded within our systems. So whether your regular team attends or another EHS team needs to step in, the expectation doesn’t change.

They’re being asked to follow the EHS way. Think of it like a proven recipe. In a well-run restaurant, the ingredients are defined, the recipe is defined, the preparation method is defined and the expected result is defined. Different trained people can follow the same process to produce a predictable outcome.

Our people will naturally have different personalities, strengths and levels of experience – they’re human beings, not robots. But the system, cleaning techniques and expectations they’re working within remain consistent.

And there’s another important layer – our office.

Behind the team attending your property is the EHS office and management structure supporting the service through scheduling, documented information, communication, monitoring, team support and accountability. We still value familiar faces. Where possible, we’ll try to maintain consistency. But ultimately, we want you to become comfortable seeing EHS arrive at your door, rather than feeling that your cleaning service can only work if one particular person arrives.

Different team. Same system. Same expectation. Backed by EHS.

Quality, Reliability & The EHS System™

The systems, communication and management processes that sit behind the clean.

Consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from having repeatable systems, clear expectations and accountability behind the people delivering the service.

At EHS Trusted Cleaning Services, we understand that one of the biggest frustrations customers can experience with cleaning is inconsistency – a great clean one week followed by a completely different result the next. That’s why we’ve worked over the years to develop structured cleaning routines, systems and techniques designed to help our teams work towards a predictable standard of service.

Routine systems help create predictable outcomes. Rather than every cleaner deciding for themselves how a property should be cleaned, our teams work within The EHS System™. This includes defined cleaning routines and techniques, The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™, cleaning checklists and work instructions, property-specific notes and customer instructions, team-based cleaning, appropriate products and equipment, training and ongoing development, communication between field and office teams, management and monitoring, and customer feedback and quality processes.

The principle is simple: Different team. Same system. Same expectation.

But systems alone aren’t enough. You can have the best checklist in the world, but people still need to follow it. That’s why EHS combines cleaning systems with management, communication, monitoring, documentation and accountability.

If something isn’t right, we don’t simply want to shrug our shoulders and say, ‘That’s the cleaner you had that day.’ It’s an EHS service, so ultimately EHS needs to stand behind it.

Can we promise that every clean will always be absolutely perfect? No. Cleaning is delivered by people, and people can occasionally make mistakes. What we can do is create the systems, routines, expectations and accountability designed to produce greater consistency – and have a company behind the service when something needs attention.

Routine creates consistency. Systems create predictability. Accountability helps protect the standard.

At EHS, we believe great cleaning shouldn’t depend on someone simply ‘knowing how to clean.’ It should be supported by a repeatable system that shows our teams how an EHS service is expected to be delivered.

Over years of working in the cleaning industry, we’ve developed The EHS Trusted System™ – a combination of cleaning methods, routines, documentation, communication and management processes designed to create greater consistency, reliability and accountability.

The system starts before we enter your property. Behind each cleaning service are processes that help our teams arrive prepared and informed, including scheduling, prepared cleaning equipment and caddies, work orders, customer notes, property instructions and communication from our office.

Once inside the property, our teams work through structured cleaning routines including The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™, defined cleaning techniques and service checklists.

But The EHS Trusted System™ go beyond the physical cleaning.

They also include preparing teams and equipment, documented work orders, structured cleaning routines, colour-safe cleaning processes, defined service checklists, team-based cleaning, customer communication and arrival information, office support, operational management and monitoring, incident reporting, quality and feedback processes, end-of-day procedures, and ongoing training, coaching and accountability.

Why have we built all of this around cleaning?

Because routine systems and techniques help create predictable outcomes. If every cleaner is allowed to develop their own completely different way of doing things, the customer can receive a completely different service depending on who walks through the door.

We want every EHS team member to understand: This is how we prepare. This is how we clean. This is how we communicate. This is how we protect the property. This is what we do when something goes wrong. And this is the standard expected when you represent EHS.

Individual people will always be different. The EHS system and expectation remain the same. That’s what we mean by The EHS Trusted System™. It’s not one checklist or cleaning technique. It’s the entire system behind the clean.

The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™ is our structured approach to separating cleaning equipment across different areas of a property, helping our teams reduce the risk of cross-contamination and clean more consistently.

Not every area of a home should be treated the same. A cloth or piece of cleaning equipment used around a toilet, for example, shouldn’t then simply make its way into a kitchen area. It sounds obvious – but without a system, you’re relying entirely on an individual cleaner remembering what they’ve used, where they’ve used it and what they should use next.

We believe there is a better way. Different colours. Different zones.

EHS uses designated Red, Blue and Green cleaning zones, with colour-coded equipment assigned to specific types of areas and cleaning tasks. This creates an easy visual system for our teams: See the colour. Know the zone. Follow the system.

The purpose isn’t simply to have different coloured cleaning cloths. The purpose is to create a repeatable hygiene routine that every EHS team member can learn and follow.

The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™ helps us reduce the risk of cross-contamination, keep designated cleaning equipment separated, give cleaners a clear process, train different team members using the same methodology, create greater consistency between cleaning teams and reinforce good cleaning habits through routine.

Different team. Same system. Same expectation. The colours themselves aren’t what make the system powerful. It’s the routine and discipline behind using them consistently. Because professional cleaning isn’t only about what gets cleaned. It’s also about how it’s cleaned.

Communication is one of the things we are most proud of at EHS.

We believe a professional cleaning service shouldn’t leave you wondering when your cleaners are coming, who to contact, whether a change has been received or what is happening with your service.

That’s why communication isn’t treated as an extra at EHS. It’s part of the service.

Rather than relying solely on communicating directly with an individual cleaner, EHS customers have an office team supporting and coordinating their service. Our communication systems help us manage scheduling and service arrangements, arrival information and updates, changes to your cleaning service, property and cleaning instructions, access information, customer questions and requests, team updates, feedback and cleaning concerns, and follow-up when something needs attention.

For regular scheduled services, we also provide estimated arrival information prior to the service, helping customers know approximately when to expect their EHS team.

Why are we so serious about communication?

Because we’ve learned over many years that a great clean can still become a poor customer experience when communication is poor. A customer shouldn’t have to chase their cleaner wondering whether they’re coming. They shouldn’t have to repeat important information every time a different team attends. And when something changes, they shouldn’t be left wondering who they need to speak to.

Good communication is really tested when plans change.

Those are the moments when having a professional office and communication structure behind your cleaning service becomes particularly valuable.

We won’t claim that communication will always be perfect – we’re still dealing with people and unexpected situations. But we can tell you this: We take communication seriously, we continually work to improve it, and we believe our customers deserve to know what’s happening with their service. Professional cleaning isn’t just about how well we clean your property. It’s also about how well we look after you as a customer.

You shouldn’t have to spend your day wondering when your cleaners are going to arrive.

Communication around scheduling and arrival is something we take very seriously at EHS, and we’ve built it into our service systems. Our CRM system automatically sends an email notification the day before your scheduled cleaning service, providing your expected arrival information so you have a better idea of when your EHS team will be attending. Because our teams complete multiple cleaning services throughout the day, we generally work with arrival windows rather than promising an exact arrival minute.

What happens if the schedule changes?

Cleaning schedules can move. Traffic, illness, access problems, a previous service taking longer than expected or other unexpected circumstances can sometimes affect the day’s schedule. When we become aware of a significant movement that affects your expected arrival, our office works hard to make contact and keep you informed about where things are at and when you can expect us.

Technology helps us communicate – but we don’t believe an automated email replaces good old-fashioned human communication when something changes. There’s an office behind the schedule. Our teams don’t simply receive a list of addresses and manage the day entirely themselves.

Our goal is simple: Know we’re coming. Know approximately when we’re coming. And if something changes, we’ll work hard to make sure you know about it. Because we believe your time deserves the same respect as your home.

Cleaning is a people-based service operating in the real world, so occasionally schedules can change – but we don’t believe you should be left wondering where your cleaning team is.

Our teams complete multiple services throughout the day, and unexpected situations can sometimes affect the schedule. This might include traffic, illness, access difficulties, additional cleaning requirements or an unexpected issue at an earlier property. When things move, communication matters.

Our office and operations team work throughout the day to coordinate our cleaning teams and manage the schedule. If we become aware of a significant change that affects your expected arrival, we work hard to contact you and keep you informed about what’s happening and when you can expect your team.

This works alongside the automated email notification sent through our CRM system the day before your service, which provides your expected arrival information. Automated notifications are useful when everything is going according to plan. But when something changes, that’s when human communication becomes even more important.

Rather than leaving you to chase an individual cleaner, you have an EHS office behind your service that can help manage changes, communicate with the field teams and keep you updated. Can we promise we’ll never run late? No. That wouldn’t be realistic.

What we can do is build systems around the inevitable changes that occur in a service business and work hard to communicate when they happen. Reliability isn’t pretending that nothing will ever change. It’s how professionally we manage and communicate when it does.

Yes – but at EHS, a checklist is only one part of the system.

Checklists help document what is expected from our cleaning teams. But years of experience have taught us that simply handing someone a checklist doesn’t guarantee that it will be followed or that important information will make its way back to the business. That’s why our checklists operate within The EHS Trusted Systems(TM), supported by documentation, communication, management and accountability.

  1. Documentation – creating a clear expectation.
Depending on the service, our teams work with defined cleaning tasks, work orders and property-specific information.
  2. Communication – connecting the field team with the office. Our cleaners aren’t operating in isolation once they leave the office. If our teams encounter something during the service that needs attention, they are expected to communicate and report it back to us.
  3. Management – supporting the people delivering the service. Our office and operational team can receive information from the field, document concerns, provide guidance, communicate with customers and help our teams deal with situations rather than leaving individual cleaners to make every decision themselves.
  4. Accountability – what happens when expectations aren’t met?

If something hasn’t been completed correctly or an issue arises, we have processes to document it, understand what happened, address it with the people involved and take appropriate action.

The EHS approach is built around four layers:

  • DOCUMENTATION – What is expected
  • COMMUNICATION – What is happening in the property
  • MANAGEMENT – Does something need to be addressed or supported?
  • ACCOUNTABILITY – What happens when expectations aren’t met?

These layers work alongside our cleaning techniques, team structure and The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™ as part of The EHS Trusted System™.

So yes, we use checklists. But the real strength isn’t the checklist itself. It’s the system and people surrounding it.

We don’t believe important information about your home should live only in a cleaner’s memory.

Every property is different. You may have particular access requirements, delicate surfaces, pets, areas requiring special attention, items that shouldn’t be moved or other information our cleaning team needs to know.

At EHS, important customer and property information can be documented within our systems and communicated to the teams servicing your property.

Why is documentation so important?

Imagine telling your regular cleaner: ‘Please don’t use that product on this particular surface.’ If that instruction exists only in that person’s memory, what happens when they’re sick or another EHS team needs to attend?

The information can disappear with the person. That’s exactly the type of dependency our systems are designed to reduce.

Important instructions can be recorded against your service so they become part of the EHS knowledge about your property, rather than relying entirely on one team member remembering them. Our teams also communicate information back to us.

If our cleaning team notices something while working in your property that they believe needs attention, clarification or documentation, they’re expected to report it back to the office.

This creates a two-way information system:
Customer → Office → Cleaning Team → Office → Customer.

Different team. Same system. Same expectation.

Good documentation helps the next team understand your property. Good communication helps keep that information current. Management helps ensure important information is acted upon.

It’s another example of the four layers behind The EHS Trusted System™:

Documentation. Communication. Management. Accountability.

Because the more our teams understand about your property, the better equipped they are to look after it properly.

Contact the EHS office. We’re here to manage the service for you.

One of the advantages of choosing EHS Trusted Cleaning Services is that you don’t have to rely solely on contacting an individual cleaner to manage your cleaning.

Behind every EHS cleaning team is an office and management team responsible for supporting both our customers and our field teams.

If you need to change or discuss your cleaning service, update an instruction, discuss your schedule, change property access information, add information about your home, ask about additional cleaning services, report a concern, provide feedback or let us know something has changed, contact our office and we’ll help manage it from there.

Why do we prefer important information to come through the office?

Because conversations can easily be forgotten. You might mention something to a cleaner while they’re working and understandably assume the business now knows about it. But if that information remains only between you and that individual, it may never become part of the documented information surrounding your service.

That’s why we encourage important changes and instructions to come through the EHS office. It allows us to communicate it, document it and make it available to the appropriate people.

Our cleaners communicate with us too.
So rather than your cleaning relationship existing solely between:

You ↔ One Cleaner, we’re building

You ↔ EHS Office ↔ Cleaning Team, with information able to flow in both directions.

You shouldn’t have to manage the cleaners. That’s our job. You have one company to contact, and EHS takes responsibility for communicating with and managing the people delivering your service.

If something isn’t right, we want to know about it – because you can’t manage a problem you don’t know exists.

At EHS Trusted Cleaning Services, we don’t believe quality management means pretending mistakes never happen. Cleaning is delivered by people. Occasionally something can be missed, an instruction can be misunderstood or a service may fall below the standard we expect. The important difference is what happens when that occurs.

When a customer raises a cleaning concern, our office can work through a structured process to listen to and document the concern, review what was expected, speak with the cleaning team involved, review relevant work orders and notes, request photographs or additional information where appropriate, determine what happened, arrange rectification where covered by our Touch-Up Guarantee, record relevant information for future services, and provide coaching, retraining or performance management where required.

This means a customer complaint doesn’t simply become a conversation that disappears once the phone is put down. It becomes information the business can act on.

Our cleaning teams also have a responsibility to communicate. If our team encounters a problem while they’re inside your property, we expect them to communicate that back to the office. That gives us an opportunity to address situations before they become bigger problems.

Feedback helps us manage our people. It comes back to four important parts of The EHS Trusted System™:

DOCUMENTATION – What happened?
COMMUNICATION – Who needs to know?
MANAGEMENT – What needs to be done about it?
ACCOUNTABILITY – What do we do to reduce the chance of it happening again?

We won’t tell you we’ll never make a mistake. We’d rather show you that we have a system for what happens when we do. Because quality isn’t only about getting things right. It’s also about how seriously you respond when something isn’t.

Your Cleaning Service

Practical questions about team structure, preparation, frequency, extras and service time.

Every home is different, so there isn’t one cleaning time that works for every property.

The time required depends on factors such as the size and layout of your home, its current condition, the type of service you’ve selected, how frequently it’s cleaned, the number of people or pets living there and the level of cleaning required. That’s why we prefer to understand your property and cleaning needs before recommending an appropriate service time.

EHS generally cleans using a team of two.

If an EHS team of two is at your property for two hours, you’re receiving approximately four labour hours of cleaning within that two-hour service window. Our team approach allows our cleaners to divide the property into their designated cleaning responsibilities and work through The EHS Trusted System™ together.

Why not simply promise a fixed cleaning time based on the size of the house?

Because two homes of exactly the same size can require completely different amounts of cleaning. A three-bedroom home occupied by one person may have very different requirements from the same-sized home with a busy family, children and pets.

Frequency matters too. Your first service may require additional time. For many ongoing customers, we may recommend beginning with an EHS Foundation Clean.

Our EHS Essentials Clean focuses the available cleaning time on defined essential areas and tasks and may suit customers who don’t require the full scope of our Regular Cleaning Service.

The best way to determine how much time your property needs is to speak with our team. Because the goal isn’t to spend the most or least amount of time in your home. It’s to allow the right amount of time to deliver the service properly.

Our two-person team model is deliberate. We believe it provides important benefits in efficiency, cleaning performance, accountability and security.

Rather than having one cleaner spend a large part of the day inside your property, EHS generally sends two trained team members who work together through The EHS Trusted System™. Two people can deliver the same labour in roughly half the time.

If a property requires four labour hours of cleaning, one cleaner could potentially be inside your home for around four hours. With two cleaners working together, those same four labour hours can potentially be delivered in around two hours.

For many customers, that’s a significant benefit. You receive the cleaning labour your property needs without having cleaners occupying your home for unnecessarily long periods. Two people also create another layer of accountability.

With our team model, our people are working alongside another EHS team member rather than routinely operating alone. That provides another layer of accountability around behaviour, procedures, property care and what occurs during the service. It’s part of our approach to security. We don’t believe any cleaning company should claim that employing two people makes theft or inappropriate behaviour impossible. People are still people.

What we can do is put sensible controls around our people to help reduce risk. Our two-person teams form part of those controls, alongside screening, documented work orders, operational monitoring, communication with our office, accountability processes and company vehicles used by our teams.

Two people also bring two sets of energy and effort. Cleaning is physical work. Having two people working together allows tasks and areas to be divided, helping our teams maintain momentum and work systematically through the property.

Less time in your property can also mean less exposure. The longer somebody needs to remain inside your property, the longer the period of access and exposure.

So our two-person model isn’t simply about cleaning faster. It’s designed around efficiency, teamwork, visibility, accountability and security.

Two cleaners. One system. Backed by a company.

No. EHS teams arrive prepared with the professional cleaning products and equipment required to complete your scheduled cleaning service.

We believe being properly prepared is part of providing a professional service.

You shouldn’t need to worry about whether you’ve remembered to buy cleaning products, whether there’s enough left in the bottle or whether the cleaner will arrive with the equipment they need. That’s our responsibility.

Our teams prepare before they arrive at your property. Our operational processes include preparing our teams, cleaning caddies, products and equipment before they head out for the day’s services.

This also supports The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™, with designated colour-coded cleaning equipment used across different cleaning zones to help reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Why do we prefer using our own products and equipment?

Because consistency is difficult to achieve if every property requires our cleaners to work with completely different products, vacuums, mops and cleaning equipment.

Using familiar EHS equipment and products helps our teams follow established cleaning techniques, use products they’re familiar with, work more efficiently, maintain our colour-safe cleaning processes, reduce dependence on customer-supplied equipment and deliver a more consistent EHS cleaning routine.

What if I want EHS to use a particular product in my home?

If you have a specific product requirement or there is a surface requiring special care, please discuss it with our office before your service. We can document the information and determine whether the product or request can safely fit within our cleaning processes.

We bring the products. We bring the equipment. We bring the system. You get to enjoy the clean.

You don’t need to clean before the cleaners arrive – that’s what we’re there for.

However, there is a difference between cleaning and clearing, and a little preparation before we arrive can help our team spend more of your allocated cleaning time actually cleaning.

The easier it is to access an area, the more effectively we can clean it.

Where practical, before your EHS team arrives, we recommend picking up clothing, toys and personal belongings from floors, clearing excessive clutter from benches and surfaces you’d like cleaned, making sure our team can easily access the areas included in your service, securing or advising us about pets where necessary, letting our office know about any changes to property access, advising us of anything fragile, damaged or requiring special care, and communicating any important new information before the service.

Help us reduce unnecessary exposure. As part of our prevention-first approach, we also recommend putting away cash, jewellery, valuables, important documents and highly sentimental belongings before your cleaning team arrives.

This isn’t about distrust. It’s about reducing unnecessary exposure and removing avoidable risk for everyone involved.

If something doesn’t need to be exposed, handled or moved for us to clean your property, the safest option is to put it away. This helps protect your belongings, reduces the risk of accidental damage or items being misplaced, and also protects our team members from unnecessary situations or misunderstandings.

Prevention is better than the cure.

Why does clearing clutter matter?

If a significant portion of the allocated time is spent moving personal belongings, organising clutter or trying to gain access to surfaces, there is naturally less time available for the actual cleaning.

But please don’t clean for us. We want to do the cleaning.

We clean real homes where real people live. We’re there to help, not to judge. You take care of the personal things. We’ll take care of the cleaning.

Yes. If there are particular areas you would like us to focus on, please let us know.

Every home is different, and sometimes certain areas need more attention than others. Where the request fits within your cleaning service, we’ll do our best to prioritise it.

Where possible, we recommend communicating additional requests through the EHS office, particularly before your scheduled service. This allows us to understand exactly what you’re requesting, determine whether it falls within your existing service, document the instruction where appropriate, communicate it to the cleaning team and determine whether additional cleaning time may be required.

Prioritising doesn’t always mean adding.

Our cleaning services are allocated a defined amount of time and have an agreed scope. If you ask us to spend additional time in one area, something else may need to receive less attention or be removed from that particular service to keep the clean within the allocated time.

Alternatively, if you’d like the additional work completed as well as your normal cleaning service, we may recommend allowing additional time. Some requests may require a different service, such as a Foundation Clean, Deep/Spring Clean or one of our specialised cleaning services.

Absolutely tell us what’s important to you. Our job is then to help determine the best way to achieve it – within the right service, with the right amount of time and with clear expectations for everyone.

A regular cleaning service is designed to maintain your home – it isn’t intended to cover every possible cleaning task within the property.

Our Regular Cleaning Service focuses on the recurring cleaning tasks required to help keep the main areas of your home consistently maintained.

Tasks that would generally not form part of a standard regular clean may include heavy build-up or restoration cleaning, inside ovens, inside refrigerators, inside cupboards and drawers, detailed internal window cleaning, carpet steam cleaning, pressure cleaning, significant mould or specialised remediation, after-build or construction cleaning, extensive high-level cleaning, moving heavy furniture or appliances, cleaning areas that present an unreasonable safety or damage risk, and other detailed tasks requiring substantially more time than regular maintenance cleaning.

Some of these services may still be available through EHS – they simply need to be booked and allowed for appropriately.

Why don’t we just include everything?

Because one of the fastest ways to create disappointment in cleaning is to promise more work than can realistically be completed within the time available. We would rather establish a clear scope and realistic expectations than provide a huge checklist that looks impressive on a website but can’t consistently be delivered in the real world.

What if I need something extra?

Talk to us. Depending on what you need, we may be able to add additional cleaning time, prioritise particular tasks or recommend another EHS service such as a Foundation Clean, Deep/Spring Clean or specialised cleaning service.

A professional cleaning service isn’t about saying yes to absolutely everything. It’s about being clear about what we’re there to do, allowing the right amount of time to do it, and doing it properly.

Absolutely. One of the benefits of having EHS behind your cleaning service is that your cleaning needs don’t always have to stay exactly the same. Homes change, circumstances change, and occasionally there will be something extra you’d like taken care of.

The important thing is to let our office know in advance wherever possible so we can determine what’s required and make sure the appropriate time, equipment and service have been arranged.

Extra tasks need extra time. Your regular cleaning service has an agreed scope and allocated cleaning time.

If you’d like to add something outside that normal scope, we generally have two options:

  • Prioritise the additional task within your existing service time, which may mean another task receives less attention or is left until the next service; or
  • Add additional time where available so the extra work can be completed without taking time away from your normal cleaning.

We don’t want our teams simply trying to squeeze more and more work into the same service window. More work requires more time. Some extras may require a specialised service such as oven cleaning, refrigerator cleaning, detailed window cleaning, carpet steam cleaning, pressure cleaning, high dusting, Deep or Spring Cleaning, or other detailed cleaning requirements.

Please arrange extras through the EHS office where possible. We’re happy to help with additional cleaning needs. Just give us the opportunity to plan for them properly, so we can provide the right service, the right amount of time and the right expectations from the beginning.

There is no single cleaning frequency that’s right for every home.

It depends on the size and activity of your home, how much cleaning you want to manage yourself, the standard you’d like maintained and, of course, your budget.

Weekly – Let us take more of the cleaning off your hands.

Weekly cleaning can be particularly suitable for larger homes, busy households or customers who simply don’t want to spend their time continually cleaning.

Fortnightly – The popular balance.

Fortnightly is one of our most popular ongoing cleaning frequencies. It gives you time to live in your home and make some mess between visits, while EHS returns every two weeks to provide the more thorough clean. Between visits, you can generally focus on lighter day-to-day tasks such as benchtops, spills and light floor maintenance.

Four-weekly – A more substantial monthly reset.

Four-weekly cleaning can suit less active homes, customers comfortable doing more maintenance themselves, or people choosing a less frequent service for budget reasons. Because there is more time between visits, we generally need to allow more cleaning time when we return.

Bi-monthly – More like an enhanced clean each visit.

For customers wanting professional cleaning approximately every two months, the service starts moving away from routine maintenance and towards an enhanced clean each time we attend.

Quarterly – A substantial cleaning session every three months.

At this frequency, we’re no longer talking about a short maintenance visit. Depending on the property and requirements, a quarterly clean could involve approximately half to three-quarters of a day of cleaning service.

Twice a year – Spring/Deep Cleaning.

If you don’t want an ongoing cleaning service, two substantial Spring or Deep Cleans per year is an option we recommend considering.

At the very least – Consider one Deep Clean each year.
Even if you normally clean your own home, we recommend considering at least one professional Deep Clean each year as an annual cleaning reset.

The longer the gap, the more substantial the clean.

  • Weekly = Frequent maintenance and less cleaning for you.
  • Fortnightly = Professional reset with lighter maintenance between visits.
  • Four-weekly = Longer visit and more substantial monthly clean.
  • Bi-monthly = Enhanced clean approximately every two months.
  • Quarterly = Substantial half-to-three-quarter-day style service.
  • Twice yearly = Planned Spring/Deep Clean.
  • Annually = At least one major Deep Clean/reset.

The best frequency is the one that matches your home, your lifestyle, the amount of cleaning you want to do yourself and the level of professional support you want from EHS.

Yes. Weekly and fortnightly cleaning are both core ongoing service options at EHS, with fortnightly being one of our most popular frequencies.

The best option depends on your home, lifestyle, budget and how much of the cleaning you want EHS to take off your hands.

Weekly cleaning can be particularly valuable for larger homes, busy families, active households or customers who want us to take greater responsibility for maintaining their home.

Fortnightly cleaning is one of our most favoured ongoing frequencies because it provides a practical balance between professional cleaning, household maintenance and budget.

You have two weeks to live normally in your home. Between visits, you may take care of lighter tasks such as benchtops, spills and some floor maintenance. Then EHS returns to perform the more thorough cleaning and help reset the home again.

Live → Light maintenance → EHS clean → Reset → Repeat.

Your frequency also affects the service time. A weekly and fortnightly service shouldn’t automatically be treated as exactly the same clean performed at different intervals.

What if weekly or fortnightly doesn’t suit me?

EHS can also discuss other cleaning arrangements, including four-weekly, bi-monthly, quarterly and periodic Spring/Deep Cleaning, depending on your property, requirements and service availability. We’re trying to find the right balance between what you want to maintain yourself and what you’d like EHS to take care of for you.

Sometimes a property simply needs more time than originally anticipated – and this is where communication between our cleaning teams, our office and our customers becomes vital.

Cleaning time is estimated based on the information we have about your property, the service selected and the expected condition of the home. But homes are lived in. Circumstances change, and sometimes what our team finds when they walk through the door is different from what we were expecting.

When that happens, we want to know about it early. Our teams are expected to report what they find. When our cleaning team arrives, if they can see that the condition of the property or amount of cleaning required is significantly different from what was expected, they are expected to communicate this back to the EHS office at the beginning of the service.

That gives our office the opportunity to understand what’s happening and, where necessary, communicate with you before the team simply pushes ahead and hopes for the best.

And sometimes you don’t know until you start cleaning.
If they’re halfway through the service and realise they aren’t going to be able to complete the agreed work properly within the remaining time, we want them communicating with the office then too. They shouldn’t wait until the end and simply say, ‘We ran out of time.’

Communication gives us options.
Depending on the circumstances, that could mean allowing additional time where possible, prioritising the areas most important to you, completing the agreed time and discussing what couldn’t reasonably be achieved, increasing the normal service time going forward, reviewing the cleaning frequency, adjusting the scope, recommending a Foundation Clean or recommending a Deep/Spring Clean.

We don’t want our teams rushing just to beat the clock.

  • DOCUMENTATION – What is expected
  • COMMUNICATION – What is happening in the property
  • MANAGEMENT – Does something need to be addressed or supported?
  • ACCOUNTABILITY – What happens when expectations aren’t met?

If something isn’t going to plan, we don’t want our teams staying silent. We want them communicating – because the earlier we know, the better we can look after both the clean and the customer.

Specialised Cleaning Services

Deep, moving, pre-sale, commercial, supported-care and specialist cleaning services.

The biggest difference is the purpose, level of detail and amount of time allocated to the service.

A Regular EHS Cleaning Service is designed to maintain an established level of cleanliness in your home.

A Deep or Spring Clean is designed to go considerably further – allowing our team more time to work through areas, details and cleaning build-up that aren’t normally addressed during routine maintenance cleaning.

  • Regular Cleaning – Maintain the home.

Regular cleaning works best when we’re returning on an established frequency such as weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly.

  • Deep or Spring Cleaning – Go beyond maintenance.

A Deep or Spring Clean allows substantially more time for our team to work through the property at a greater level of detail.

The important difference is time and depth. You can’t realistically turn a normal maintenance clean into a Deep Clean simply by giving the cleaners a longer list. More detail requires more time.

A Deep Clean is also a great periodic reset.

For customers who don’t have ongoing professional cleaning, we recommend considering a Spring or Deep Clean approximately twice a year. And at the very least, we recommend considering one substantial Deep Clean each year as an annual reset.

And where does the Foundation Clean fit?

A Foundation Clean is different again. It’s generally used when beginning an ongoing EHS cleaning service and the property needs additional attention to establish the right starting point.

Foundation Clean → Establish the standard.
Regular Clean → Maintain the standard.
Deep/Spring Clean → Go beyond routine maintenance and provide a substantial reset.

A Regular Clean maintains. A Foundation Clean establishes. A Deep or Spring Clean goes deeper.

Yes. EHS provides professional End-of-Lease and Vacate Cleaning – but for us, the service is about more than cleaning the property you’re leaving behind. Moving can be one of the busiest and most stressful times in someone’s life. There are boxes to pack, removalists to organise, utilities to change, keys to hand over and, in many cases, an entirely new home waiting for your attention.

We believe your focus should be on where you’re going – not cleaning where you’ve been. Focus on your new horizons. We’ll take care of the old property. Usually, when you’re moving out of one property, you’re also moving into somewhere else. Rather than spending your final days going back and forth cleaning an empty property, you can hand the cleaning responsibility over to us and concentrate on getting yourself and your family settled into what’s next.

Vacate cleaning is very different from regular cleaning. Once furniture and belongings have been removed, areas that haven’t been accessible for months or even years can suddenly become visible. Depending on the property, its condition and the service agreed, this may include kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and laundries, cupboards, drawers and shelving, benches, sinks and splashbacks, skirting boards and accessible surfaces, doors, frames and switches, detailed dusting and cobweb removal, floors, internal windows and glass where included, and other agreed cleaning requirements.

Additional services such as oven cleaning, carpet steam cleaning and window cleaning may also be available where required.

Professionally managed when you’ve already got enough to manage.

You take care of the move forward. We’ll take care of cleaning what you’re leaving behind. Because when you’re starting the next chapter, we believe your attention should be on your new horizons – not looking backwards at the cleaning.

Yes. An EHS Move-In Clean is designed to professionally clean and sanitise your new home before you start moving your furniture and belongings into it.

A Move-In Clean can involve many of the same detailed cleaning tasks as a Vacate Clean – but the purpose is very different. Before the beds go in, before the couches arrive, before the cupboards are filled and before your family starts living there, you have a unique opportunity to have the property professionally cleaned and sanitised while it’s still empty.

Start fresh before you move in.

When you purchase or move into a property, you don’t necessarily know how the previous occupants lived or how thoroughly the property was cleaned before they left. That’s why we believe the best time for a Move-In Clean is before your furniture and belongings arrive.

The focus is cleaning AND sanitising your new environment.

Depending on the property and agreed scope, a Move-In Clean can address kitchens and food preparation areas, bathrooms and toilets, laundries, cupboards, drawers and shelving, benches and accessible surfaces, doors, handles, switches and other agreed touchpoints, skirting boards, floors, dust and cobwebs, internal glass and windows where included, and other agreed areas requiring attention.

Additional services such as oven cleaning, carpet steam cleaning and window cleaning may also be available. An empty home gives us an opportunity we may not get again.

Clean it while it’s empty. Sanitise it before you live in it. Then start making it yours.

For some families, a clean beginning has even greater meaning. For some people, having a property thoroughly cleaned before moving in isn’t simply about hygiene or appearance. Cultural traditions, family beliefs and personal values can make starting with a clean home an important part of beginning a new chapter. We respect that.

EHS provides a professional cleaning and sanitising service rather than a ceremonial or spiritual cleansing service, but we understand that having the physical environment professionally cleaned can be an important part of preparing the home in the way that feels right for you and your family.

Whether it’s about hygiene, peace of mind, tradition or simply wanting a completely fresh beginning, it’s your new home and you should feel good about it from the moment you walk through the door.

New home. Fresh start. A clean beginning.

Yes. EHS provides professional Pre-Sale Cleaning and can become your one-stop shop for getting your property cleaned and presentation-ready for market. Selling a property comes with enough to organise already.

The last thing you need is to spend days coordinating one company for the house cleaning, another for the windows, someone else for the carpets, another contractor for the exterior and then somebody to sort out the garden. Where possible, EHS can help bring those services together under one roof.

One call. Multiple services. One less thing for you to manage. Depending on your property, requirements and service availability, EHS can provide or help coordinate:

  • Pre-Sale Cleaning
  • Window Cleaning
  • Carpet Steam Cleaning
  • Pressure Cleaning
  • Exterior Soft Washing
  • Oven and Detailed Cleaning
  • Gardening and property presentation assistance through suitable service providers

Some services may be completed directly by EHS, while others can be coordinated through suitable providers. We’re looking at the whole property – inside and out.

Pre-Sale Cleaning isn’t simply about vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.

We’re asking a bigger question: What needs attention to help this property present at its best?
Inside, that may mean kitchens, bathrooms, floors, skirting boards, detailed dusting, carpets, ovens and windows.

Outside, it could mean windows, paths, exterior surfaces, soft washing, pressure cleaning or getting the gardens presentation-ready. Because the buyer’s first impression often starts before they even walk through the front door.

We want buyers looking at your property – not the cleaning. You’re already dealing with agents, photography, styling, inspections, paperwork, removalists and potentially buying or moving into another home.

Let EHS take care of as much of the cleaning and property presentation work as we can. One point of contact. Multiple property services. One less thing for you to manage.

EHS – helping get your property ready to be seen.

Absolutely. EHS is more than a residential cleaning company. We provide professionally managed cleaning services for commercial properties and workplaces across Melbourne’s South East and the Mornington Peninsula.

For a business, cleaning isn’t simply about whether the floors have been vacuumed. It’s about having a clean, professional environment for your employees, customers and visitors – backed by a cleaning company you can rely on.

Your cleaning service reflects your business. The cleaning needs to happen when it’s supposed to happen. You shouldn’t have to continually chase your cleaning provider, wonder whether somebody is turning up or personally manage the cleaner.

That’s where a professionally managed cleaning company makes a difference.

EHS is structured with cleaning teams supported by The EHS Trusted Systems™, including documented site and cleaning instructions, defined cleaning routines and techniques, The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™, scheduling and office support, customer communication, operational management, team support, quality and feedback processes, and accountability.

The person may change. The system doesn’t. Every workplace operates differently, so we prefer to understand your premises, operating environment, cleaning requirements, frequency and expectations before recommending the appropriate service.

Additional services such as Window Cleaning, Carpet Steam Cleaning, Pressure Cleaning and Exterior Soft Washing may also be available. Communication is something we’re particularly proud of.

If our cleaning team discovers an access issue, property concern, damage, safety issue or something preventing the agreed service from being completed, we expect them to communicate with the EHS office.

Cleaning Team → EHS Office → Customer.
Customer → EHS Office → Cleaning Team.

You shouldn’t have to manage your cleaners. You manage your business. We manage the cleaning.

Yes. EHS provides professional cleaning services for NDIS participants, helping people maintain a cleaner, safer and more comfortable home environment.

For us, NDIS cleaning is about more than completing a list of cleaning tasks. It’s about providing a service built around trust, respect, reliability, communication and consistency.

We understand that reliability matters.

For many NDIS participants, their cleaning service forms part of the support structure that helps them manage their home.

That’s why EHS brings the structure of a professionally managed cleaning company behind the service.

Rather than the entire arrangement depending on one individual cleaner, our teams are supported by The EHS Trusted Systems™, including office and scheduling support, documented customer and property instructions, defined cleaning routines, The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™, communication between field teams and office, operational management, service continuity where reasonably possible, feedback and quality processes, and accountability.

The person may change. The system doesn’t.

Communication is particularly important. Important information shouldn’t depend entirely on one cleaner remembering it.

Participant / Representative → EHS Office → Cleaning Team.
Cleaning Team → EHS Office → Participant / Representative.

We’re there to support the person, not judge the home. Our role is to respectfully provide the cleaning service we’ve been engaged to deliver.

Screening is where trust starts. Our systems are how we work to maintain it.

Our aim is to provide NDIS participants, families, support coordinators and representatives with confidence that they’re not simply engaging an individual cleaner – there’s a professionally managed cleaning company standing behind the service.

Yes. EHS provides professional cleaning services for older Australians who may need some extra help maintaining their home. For many of our aged care customers, cleaning support isn’t simply about having a clean bathroom or freshly vacuumed floors.

It’s about helping someone continue enjoying their home without having to manage all of the physical work that comes with maintaining it. A little help can make a big difference.

As we get older, cleaning tasks that were once relatively easy can become more physically demanding. Our role is to help take some of that workload away.

Trust matters when you’re inviting someone into your home.

Many older customers have lived in their homes for a very long time. Their property contains their belongings, memories and things that are incredibly important to them.

That’s why our approach isn’t based on screening alone. Our cleaners work within The EHS Trusted Systems™, supported by documented instructions, cleaning procedures, office communication, management and accountability.

Screening is where trust starts. Our systems are how we work to maintain it.

Familiarity is important – but so is continuity. Where reasonably possible, we aim to create familiarity with the people attending your home. But we also don’t want your entire cleaning service dependent on one person.

Different team. Same system. Same expectation.

Families and representatives can have confidence too, because there is a central point of contact for scheduling, instructions, questions, changes and concerns. Respect is fundamental.

Our cleaners aren’t entering someone’s home to judge how they live. They’re entering it to help. Your home. Your independence. A little more help with the cleaning.

Yes. EHS provides more than routine home and commercial cleaning. We also offer a range of specialised cleaning services to help customers look after more of their property through EHS.

Sometimes the normal cleaning team isn’t the right service for the job. Windows require different equipment and techniques. Carpets require specialised machinery. Exterior surfaces may require pressure cleaning or a softer cleaning method. Rather than expecting our regular cleaners to attempt work outside their normal service, we believe in matching the right service, equipment and method to the job.

Depending on your property, requirements and availability, EHS services can include:

  • Window Cleaning
  • Carpet Steam Cleaning
  • Pressure Cleaning
  • Exterior Soft Washing
  • Oven Cleaning
  • Refrigerator Cleaning
  • High Dusting
  • Detailed Deep/Spring Cleaning
  • After-Build Cleaning
  • Other specialised cleaning requirements discussed with our team

Where customers are trying to get multiple property jobs completed, we may also be able to help coordinate complementary services such as gardening through suitable providers.

Pressure Cleaning and Soft Washing aren’t necessarily the same thing.
Some surfaces may be appropriate for pressure cleaning, while others can require a softer exterior washing method. The most powerful cleaning method isn’t always the safest or most appropriate cleaning method.

Why use EHS for more than one service?

Convenience is a big part of it. For larger projects such as Pre-Sale, Move-In, Vacate or Spring Cleaning, several services may need to come together at once.

That’s where EHS can become more of a one-stop shop for your cleaning and property presentation needs. One conversation. Multiple cleaning solutions. One company helping bring it together.

Professional cleaning isn’t about having one method for everything. It’s about understanding the job, choosing the appropriate service and using the right approach for the property in front of us.

Bookings, changes & getting started

How cancellations, rescheduling and booking with EHS are managed.

Regular Cleaning – Maintain the home. Regular cleaning works best when we’re returning on an established frequency such as weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly.

Deep or Spring Cleaning – Go beyond maintenance.

  • Foundation Clean → Establish the standard.
  • Regular Clean → Maintain the standard.
  • Deep/Spring Clean → Go beyond routine maintenance and provide a substantial reset.

A Regular Clean maintains. A Foundation Clean establishes. A Deep or Spring Clean goes deeper.

Getting started with EHS is easy – and it begins with a conversation. We don’t believe the best way to recommend a cleaning service is simply to ask how many bedrooms you have and immediately give you a generic price.

Every property is different, and more importantly, every customer is looking for something different from their cleaning service. Our first job is to understand what you actually need.

Step 1 – Get in touch with EHS.
Contact our team and tell us a little about your property and what you’re looking for. We may ask about your location, type and size of property, current condition, areas you’d like cleaned, type of service, preferred frequency, particular concerns, access requirements, pets and when you’d ideally like the service to begin.

Step 2 – We’ll help determine the right cleaning service.
Depending on what you’re trying to achieve, we might recommend EHS Essentials Clean, Regular Cleaning, Foundation Clean, Deep/Spring Clean or one of our specialised services such as Move-In, Vacate, Pre-Sale, Commercial, NDIS, Aged Care, Windows, Carpets, Pressure Cleaning or Exterior Soft Washing.

Step 3 – We’ll discuss the appropriate time and cost.
Once we understand the property and your expectations, we can discuss the recommended service, anticipated cleaning time and pricing.

Step 4 – We prepare before we arrive.
Your service information and relevant property instructions can be documented within our systems so our office and cleaning team understand what has been arranged. Our teams prepare their equipment, products and cleaning caddies, and your service is incorporated into our operational schedule.

Step 5 – We clean. You get your time back.

Our EHS team arrives and works through the agreed service using The EHS Trusted Systems™, including The EHS Colour-Safe Cleaning System™. Because ultimately, getting a cleaner shouldn’t give you another person or job to manage. It should take something off your plate.

Built on Trust. Proven by Systems. Delivered by People.

That’s the EHS difference.
